October:  Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson
November: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Just a reminder that book club will take place on this blog on the fourth Thursday of every month unless otherwise noted.  Read the book then come here to read what my co-host and I thought of the book and read everyone's comments. (I will choose a new co-host every month and ask for people who are interested each month.  Too hard to plan a year out on that one!)  There will also be a link up so you can link your own book club post.  Don't get me wrong, I love myself a good #ootd link up, but I also love the idea of cultivating link ups that celebrate out intelligence and our brains, not just our clothes.

The In Real Life book club will always be the Tuesday before the online book club unless otherwise noted.

HOW IT WORKS

Every month we read a book.  On the selected day, we talk about it. (Generally the last Thursday of the month).  I will do my darndest to post questions ahead of time so that you can be thinking of possible discussion topics as you read.

Join in for whatever books you can.  I know you are all busy, and you might not be able to read all the books. (Or be interested in reading all the books!)  Read what you want and comment on what you want.  Some readers write their own review on their blog and then link up to it, others just write their thoughts in the comments- it's up to you!  If you write your own post and link up, please slap the image above on your post! Grazi!

This year I will have guest "hosts" for book club.  We will both share our thoughts on both of our blogs.  It's a great way to get traffic for your blog and a great way for me to get the word out about book club. Win/win my friends! If you are interested in co-hosting book club please email me at thelifeofbon@gmail.com and let me know which month/book you are most interested in.

  8. I will try and finish "Brain on Fire" this week so I can join the discussion! And I'll definitely be joining your book club in October!

Been following your blog for a long time, but never really left a comment or anything... But I've been looking for book recommendations, found your book club and thought it was great. And I looove the book you've chosen!

I think "Brain on Fire" might be a bit challenging for me since it's set in medical enviroment and I'm not a native english speaker, but we'll see. I like challenge :)

And also Congrats on the birth of your baby girl. She's so adorable!!!
