Let me tell you why I am upset

People, I am not happy.

Not happy at all.

I found out much to my dismay that THIS guy made a big appearance at a blogger get together on Tuesday night.

Not the baby.

THE MAN.

AKA JEF HOLM FROM THE BACHELORETTE.  Try to keep up.

All the bloggers are talking about it, you know?  "I saw Jef Holm today!"  "I took a picture with Jef Holm today!"  "Jef Holm asked me to marry him today!"  Okay maybe not that last one, but you get the picture.  Look at any Utah blogger's blog and you will see (like this one) what I am talking about.

Well guess who did NOT get invited to said blogger together?

ME!

Is that rude or is that rude?

Excuse me, blogger masterminds, I would like to talk to you about this.  How did you invite Jef Holm to sponsor a blogger get together and then not invite me when you KNOW I am half in love with him?  How could you do this to me?

Hubs, obviously, doesn't approve.  I try to get him to watch The Bachelorette with me all sneaky and coy like, "Hubs, don't you want to see this nice boy from Utah go on a date?"  Well, I got news for you, Hubs ain't no dummy.  He replies, "Bonnie I will not watch this show with you because I don't like how much you like this guy."  Well, I don't like it either, Hubs, but we're too far in now, aren't we?!?

Sorry to cut this short, but I gotta run.  I got a plastic bag and a bunch of peroxide on my head (Yes, another hair dye!) and it's starting to burn my scalp.  Also, I gotta get looking hot because Hubs has got a huge comedy show tonight and you know I need to sit front row to cheer him on.  Although come to think of it, last time I sat in the front row at his show I got in trouble.  Apparently yelling out "Go Greg!" in the middle of his lines is not okay?  Why can't theater be more like sports?

Oh... and don't forget to stop by tomorrow.  It's my BIRTHDAY!!!!! (EEEEEKKK!!!!) and they'll be a special little something something for YOU.  Don't get your hopes up too high people, I ain't no millionaire.

Oh my Hair!

I guess you could say that when it comes to committing to my hair, I just can't do it.
I'm a hair-committment phobe, if you will.
I don't want to be locked down to any one cut, any one color, any one style.

Ever since high school I have changed my hair incessantly.
Every few months.

Cutting.
Chopping.
Dying.
Growing.
Waxing.
Curling.
Styling.
Frosting.
Straightening.
Blowdrying.

I changed my hair two months ago and am already bored of the new style.  Looking for a different do. To help me find the perfect hair, I looked over some old pictures.  And then I thought, "Hey!  Why  not let those nice people who read my blog help me decide?"

So that's what I'm doing.  Help me decide which hairstyle you like best, people.  And then know that I might ignore all your suggestions and do what I want anyway.

I cannot stop touching...

...my hair!  My hair!  My hair!

Touch touch touch, all I want to do is touch my hair my hair hair hair.

It's short, it's light, it's low maintenance- everything I require from a good haircut.

I'm pretty much obsessed with it.

I just can't do long hair.  I can't.  Please don't make me ever try that again  Long hair is for people who don't wake up at 5:55.  Long hair is for people who have thick, beautiful tresses that holds a curl.  Long hair is for people with patience.

Short hair is for people who only give themselves four minutes to get ready every morning.  Short hair is for people who like to shake their strands around and whip it to and fro like a rocker.  Short hair is for ME!

Something weird about cutting your hair when you teach high school is that you have to stand there while 240 pimply pent up pubescents slowly realize that something looks different about you today.  Some of my favorite responses the past two days:

"I thought you were a substitute!"

"Why'd you go and do a thing like that?"

"Oh my gosh, I didn't even recognize you."

(said in muddled whispers to another student) "Wow.  She looks way edgy."

"You look a lot older.  You won't be able to pass for a student anymore."

"Did your husband say you could do that?"

"You look a lot younger."

Male Student:  "I like your new do."  Me:  "Thank you."  Student:  "I got a new do too."  Me: "I like it.  It looks good."  Student:  "I like yours too."  Me:  "Thank you."  Student:  "I got a new do too."

"I dig it."

"Teacher, is that you?"

"Whoa.  Has your hair always been that color?"

Student:  "Oh wow, Chase is going to freak out when he sees it."  Me:  "Why."  Student:  "Because he's a freak!"

Yes, all pictures were taken by myself while sitting at my desk at school.  Not weird at all.  Yes, I am procrastinating grading essays, thanks for always calling me out.

P.S. Sorry about the plethora of pictures of just me lately.  I promise I will stop being so narcissistic as soon as my new haircut is no longer a novelty.  When that will happen, I cannot say.
P.P.S.  Don't forget to enter the awesome giveaway!  It closes February 29/March1 at midnight!  AKA Tomorrow night!
