PEOPLE! LISTEN UP! I GOTS SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY!
CALLING ALL UTAH COUNTY BLOGGERS!
Elisabeth and I are stoked out of minds to announce our first ever monthly blog strategizing group. With open arms we welcome you to....

THE RUN DOWN
The first week of every month, twelve girls will circle round a table (a real table! In person! Not online! Can you believe the madness?!?) to talk all things blog strategy. Each month the topic will differ. We don't want anyone getting bored round here! Topics and questions will be given ahead of time so we can all come prepared with great ideas to share. Learn from the best blogging minds and see what others have done that have worked for their blogs.
FIRST MEET UP DEETS

Provo, UT (specific location to be disclosed upon booking.)

Now, I've got the treat of a lifetime for you. I somehow convinced my Canadian friend, Allison, to pretend like she is a student in my class. I tell you, she's pretty much got acting like a sixteen year old down cold! I love Allison even though I insulted her beloved Canadian National Anthem on Sunday via twitter (But seriously, who heard that being sung at the All Star Game? So boring!). The girl takes beautiful pictures from all over the world (my personal fave is the Croatian Coast). I pretty much like everything about her- except for that she keeps refering to something as "spares" in her post. What the? Those Canadians, they got wacky names for everything.
Take it away, Allison!
What can I say, I love being in high school. Especially when you have a teacher like Mrs. Larsen. She shares my love for dresses and skirts, she lets me follow her and her husband on Twitter, and she listens to me profess my love for the Biebs. What can be better than that? You're right. Nothing.
So, you want to know more about 16 year old me? Well, you're in luck because Mrs. Larson coincidentally put together a short and sweet questionnaire for me to fill out.
I'd have to say that my favourite class is definitely my spare. It's great for those long lunches and sleep-ins on double block days. What? You don't consider that a class? Fine. It's a good thing that you're an English teacher because English is my second favorite class. But that's only because you took us to see Les Miserables (I swear, it wasn't me laughing behind you). Lunch is my third favourite.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Who knows? I haven't even decided what I'm going to have for lunch. Mmm, lunch. Now I'm hungry. Does my spare come before or after lunch today? OK, focus Allison...back to my future. Now there's a great movie! Right, right, my actual future. How about I shake the Magic 8 Ball and see what it tells me. No? Well, I might need some help then. Here are a few things that I like: interior design, politics, photography, hair, and theatre. How about I become a real estate agent who sells houses to politicians, and moonlights as a hair stylist for the local theatre? All the while, taking pictures of everything. Excellent, glad I figured that one out! Thanks for the help, Mrs. Larsen. You're the best.
How did you spend your last summer break?
Good question. My summer sure started off with a bang. My older sister and I were going to live with a family in France for the summer, but the day before we left, I got into a car accident and broke my collar bone. So, I spent the entire summer in a highly attractive sling, while my sister waited on me hand and foot. I couldn't wash my hair, I couldn't tie my shoes, I couldn't carry my bags, and I couldn't even shave my armpits. My sister had the joy of doing all of that for me. She obviously loved every minute of it. I'm sure she's just dying to go on another trip with me.
Flash forward 10 years and a lot has happened. After high school, I moved from my small town in British Columbia, to Ottawa, Canada. Yeah, you should go find Ottawa on a map. You'll find it somewhere between Toronto and Montreal. You have no idea where that is either, do you? It's OK, I'll help you out. Find Syracuse and look up a bit. There I am. Hi!
As much as I loved my spares in high school, I actually really do enjoy school. In Ottawa, I finished my degree in Political Science, then worked on Parliament Hill and for the federal government for a few years. Last year, I decided that working was for suckers, so I quit my job and went back to school. Today, you'll find me 2/3 of the way through Law School, and planning my big move back to British Columbia.
I've somehow coaxed my boyfriend of 6 years, Brock, to move with me. He says that he's up for the adventure, so let's hope (for my sanity) that all goes well. Otherwise, I won't hear the end of it.
What else do you need to know in one guest post or less? I'm pretty sure I was born with a travel gene, because I think about travelling every day. I'm always planning my next trip, and all my spare change goes right into the travelling jar. Over the last 10 years, I've travelled all over the world, taking lots of pictures along the way. You can check out my Etsy Shop for a sample of Lawfully Lost Photography, if you'd like.
There's always something (crazy / funny / mindless) happening over at Lawfully Lost. Sometimes I write about Valentine's Day gifts that involve nipple-tassels, sometimes I write about my failed cooking attempts, and sometimes I write about my ridiculous travel plans. Sooo, come on over and say hello!
