Freak out?

“Adam! I’m done!” And I WAS done. The frustrations and stresses of a long day had built up, and Adam’s profanity had put me over the edge. I could feel my voice rising, my hand trembling, my blood rushing as it turned my face a deep shade of red. I was mad. Piping mad. Every vestige of self control was long gone at this point. My mouth was uncensored and bad thoughts about students came flying out of my mouth at 80 mph. “You are lazy and you are rude! I seriously cannot stand students act like this! You make it so hard for the rest of the class to learn! Learn some respect and don’t you ever say that to a teacher again! Now get out of my class!”  (Want to know the rest of the story?  Go here.)

  1. And did he have a change of attitude the next day?

  2. why are teenagers such punks?

  3. I read the rest.

I did a similar thing once with a bunch of lifeguards I was training and felt AWFUL about it.

In the long run, though, it was probably a little bit necessary. It demonstrated that while I'm a riot of a trainer, I am serious as shit sometimes, too. You have to be.

    Love your blog so far.

  4. Read the whole thing and I agree. I'm doing a trying to shed those last few pounds and get fit too. Last night I was really hungry and ended up going out for dinner unexpectedly as a relative stopped by to take us out. I was starving so ate a full pizza and was so annoyed that today I consoled myself by munching my way through a pile of junk.

Now, I feel sluggish and horrible but like you said, I'm going to reclaim the power/ pride and so tomorrow I'm off to try out a new exercise class. I feel great again : ) Rx

  5. Thanks so much for the comment on my blog!
I am following yours now and I would love for you to follow mine too?
