What happens if a blogger admits she kind of hates blogging?
I mean, it's not like she totally hates it every day, in fact she really loves it most days. It's just that some times I don't want to blog but I have this stupid thing where I make these huge goals and then kill myself if I don't make the goals.
Today I didn't want to blog.
When I got in my car this morning, this is what the clock read.
When I pulled in the driveaway this evening, the clock read the same thing.
As I told this story to Hubs, I concluded dramatically, "Isn't that disgusting?!?" To which he replied, "So... your clock broke?"
Oh Hubs. So young. So naive. So innocent.
No, the clock didn't break, I was at work for 12 hours and that is gross. I know political interns and rodeo clowns and other people who hate their lives are accustomed to 12 hours at work. I am not. I do 8-9 hours and an occasional 10, but the goal is always to stick to 8. 12 just makes me feel kind of gross.
Then, somehow Hubs convinced me to go to Denny's with the cast of the play he's in. When I got home at 9:40, the last thing I wanted to do was blog.
THE LAST THING.
And that is how I kind of hate blogging sometimes.
Lucky for you guys, while I am in a sulky, ornery, tired mood, I've got some lovely ladies here who are none of those things. In fact, they are all the things you would hope for in good blogs to stalker. They are funny. They are chic. They are even sometimes borderline inappropriate. And we all know we need an occasional borderline inappropriate in our lives. Hop on over to these girls' blogs, say hello, and tell them I sent you, darn it! One commenter will be entered into a drawing to win a cruise.
I kid. I kid.
But seriously. Go say hi. These ladies rock. Over and out.
ANNA
1. Husband and I celebrate our anniversary (4 years in November!)
2. Husband and I ride a train and pick out a pumpkin. We did it last year and I'm determined to make it a tradition.
3. Husband and I KEEP riding our bikes through the winter. This should be interesting... and cold.
Plus, Fall is when I break out my pie tins and cardigans. Isn't this the best time of the year?
BROOKE
Well hello there! My name is Brooke, and I blog over at Silver Lining. Mostly I blog about super blog-worthy stuff, like the one time my husband and I were vindicated by the state of Utah, and how we roll at weddings (free food, baby!). I get serious sometimes and blog about things I'm passionate about, like teaching, grief, and the little things that make my marriage happy. I'm always looking for new blogs to follow, so come say hi!
CRYSTAL
Hi, I'm Crystal over at our life and love story. I'm a mommy on the go, a CA native finding my way in CO, a first time home buyer and generally just a hilarious person. I love to blog about sharing my life with a sassy, wise beyond her years 3 year old, my herd of fur-children, and very, very patient husband. Join me as I attempt to make my new house look like my pinterest boards, tackle tough conversations with a curious girl, and just try to survive this thing called life. xoxo
CELESTE
Well hello Life of Bon readers! I'm Celeste, an Oklahoma girl (reluctantly) living in Texas. You can find me over at Our Fabulous Life in the Suburbs, where I chronicle the daily lives of myself, my supercute hubby, and our supercrazy little dog. My blog covers everything from renovations we're making to our new home, to stories about the crazy things my dog does, to whatever happens to be on my mind at the moment. You never know what you're gonna get! I absolutely love meeting new blog friends, so stop on by and say hello!
JENN
Hello gorgeous Life of Bon readers! My name is Jenn and I blog over at Girl Defying Gravity. As you can see from the photos above, it's a very serious blog about very serious stuff: stuff such as my 5 most embarrassing moments ever, my awkward picture-taking faces and my war on umbrella sedge (yep, that's actually a thing.) So...if you need a little dose of seriousness in your day (not really) come by and say hi! I'd love to meet you...after all, we have one thing in common already -great taste- since we both think Bonnie is the bees knees!
MARISSA
Hi! I'm Marissa and I blog at Quit Your Daydreaming. I guess the first thing you should know about me is that I LOVE my cute little family and am obsessed with them! I am also a lover of exercise, make-up, date night with my husband and college football. I hate rules and love things that match. Maybe the most intriguing thing about me is that I'm an ambulance chaser. I follow them. I can't help myself! I'm also writing a novel and posting it on my blog as I go. Who says nothing in life is for free? I would love for you to stop by!
KRISTYN
Hello there, Life of Bon readers. I am Kristyn and I blog over at Lively Spirited Confessions. What is my blog about, you ask? Well...my life. Why would I want to read about that? That's a good question. Just kidding. I blog about my weight loss journey including the many struggles, my super cute nephew, and anything else I can think of.

SHANE
This is the story of a flawed girl. She’s not known for being decisive. She’s honest and unafraid to speak her mind, sometimes to a fault. And she wishes she had more to offer this world.
With 7 siblings, a knack for writing, and an unhealthy obsession with sunshine, she's quite the well-rounded gal you’ll learn. As a finance major, she doesn't get to express her creative side much, so this is an outlet to do just that. Join me in the trials and tribulations of this crazy little thing called life, won’t you?

it's ok lady somedays i feel the same way.. I should blog I should I should, nah not tonight!
ReplyDeleteI personally think quality over quantity.. you know unless your blogging like once a year and then it would be hard to make one amazing post a year that would make up for it!
It's almost the weekend..
ps I agree 12 hour days are awful, let's get the law makers to make it illegal!
I remember when I was teaching and coaching varsity women's tennis. I had to drive the girls to our games. NO SCHOOL BUS FOR TRANSPORTATION. It sucked. And, my days? Were 17 HOURS LONG once or twice a week, from March until June. NO FUN.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had a long day. I totally commiserate!
Thanks for the blog suggestions! I'm now following some more fabulous blogs!
12 hour days sounds awful! You can do it though! Just reward yourself with a new outfit or something for working so hard!

Thanks for the comment! So you are a brave teacher of the high schoolers as well, huh? I actually teach PE & Health and I switch schools halfway through the day. In the morning I teach Freshman PE and Sophomore Health and in the afternoon I teach K-2nd PE. Craziness! I am loving your blog by the way! I am your newest follower :-) Happy Friday tomorrow! I know we teachers love our Fridays!!!

ReplyDeleteMy husband regularly leaves the house at 6 am and gets home at 8 pm--I think that's disgusting too. 8 hours is nice--you can actually do something else in your day besides solely working!
