To believe or not to believe

I was gone on Monday when the Bachelor Finale aired so I'm a few days and a dime short around here... or something like that... the important thing is that Bachelor Ben has finally made his decision and it is...............

Model Courtney!

Surprise Surprise.

Or not...

I mean, I guess the fact that some people are surprised could be a surprise to the rest of us Bachelor-adoring fans?

Or wait... I know! Maybe it is a surprise the complete I-am-a-victim card that Courtney has been playing the past three episodes?  This girl certainly has seen a vision of light, has she not?

Let me prove my point, friends. PUH-LEASE. I want to prove my point here.

Things Courtney said the first 12 episodes of the season:

Who knew that strippers could play baseball!? (Talking about another contestant.)
Maybe she drank too much and the Jersey Shore came out. (Talking about another contestant.)
Winning! Winning! WINNING! (When she got a rose.)
I almost just want to rip her head off and verbally assault her. Or shave her eyebrows off in the middle of the night...
I'm a nice person. Don't $#@% with me!
Winning! I got a rose and you don't!
How'd that taste coming out of your mouth? (When another contestant announced Courtney had the date with Ben that week.)

Bang Bang! Bang Bang! Kill Shot! (Pretending like she has a gun and killing off the other women. Naturally.)
I don't want to get cocky...
I'm not impressed by these women. Or these girls. I don't even think they're women.
She's just like a little girl in a little boy's body.

Ben is not the only guy in the world.
I'm ready to get rid of some girls tonight. They're driving me crazy. Like aaaahhh! I wanna rip my
hair out!
See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya! (When another girl got sent home.)
My condolences to whichever man you end up with. (To another contestant.)

It would really make my day if he sends Emily home.

If I do not get a one-on-one this week, I will not be accepting a rose from Ben.

SNAP girls! Show's over. You can all go home. Pack your bags!

Maybe we can go skinny dipping this week...
These girls they are all soooo prude!

Go bikini-less!
I had lost all respect for you, I'm not going to lie...We won't be friends. I don't forgive and forget...Nobody treats me like that. Period... Should I just bend over and take it up the tailpipe?  (What Courtney said when Emily tried to apologize.)

Bye...I can't stand you all.

I'm a sight for sore eyes, because after his date with Elyse his eyes are probably pretty sore.

Things Courtney said in last three episodes:

Looking back, I probably should have been nicer to the other girls.

It was not easy for me to be in that house. I tried hard to make friends with those girls. I really tried.

The girls pre judged me because I am a model and they never gave me a chance.

Your son is amazing and I have completely fallen love with him, and the person that he is.

I'm a good person. And good things happen to good people.

There were days where I didn't leave the house. I just laid there and cried. He abandoned me.

I have many regrets. I'm disappointed in myself and the way I acted, and how I treated the women.

I'm sorry.  I take it all back… You may say it's not genuine but I'm going through real emotions. I don't like being tore apart -- my family, my friends! -- in the tabloids. It's awful! I didn't think it through.

So whaddya think, chicas? Is this Courtney girl sincere in her apology? Or is she just trying to save face in front of America for a lot of really rude things she said?

  1. I think she is a mean, thoughtless, rude person... but I do believe her tears were real. I don't think she had any idea that everyone would hate her SO much. Look at the past bad guys: Michelle Money-- Love her! Wes Hayden-- Break me off a piece of that! I think her friends and family saw her on tv and said "whoa. You better check yourself."

I also think that Ben made some super poor choices all throughout the show. To me, he seemed like the nerdy goofy guy who never went to prom. When a beautiful girl like Courtney hooked her claws into him, he never had a chance to escape.

I will be surprised if they make it through the summer. Ben thinks he's in love, but he'll figure it out. And Courtney doesn't even know what love is.

I felt bad for Ben though! He has to talk about his sucky relationship and then he has to see the girl who turned down his first proposal deliriously happy with the guy he lost to! Talk about kicking him when he's down!

  2. Something to think about hmm! Not sure what to think now :/

  3. I'm pretty torn up about this. I always like to see the best in people so part of me thinks that she just has really low self-confidence and being around that many girls who were all trying to date the same guy really just brought out the worst in her. I want to think that she was afraid Ben wouldn't choose her so she put up this wall/front and tried to pretend she didn't care about anyone, including him.

However, some of those things she said just aren't excusable. Her apologies seem like too little, too late.

Either way, I couldn't help but kind of root for them when I watched the After the Final Rose Finale. None of us may get it but they seem to really work together. Time will tell!

  4. Oh man...this show. I yell at the TV every Monday night like a crazy person!

Ben and Courtney are made for each other. Simple as that. Ben is as boring as watching my hair grow. Completely vapid and uninteresting. I have no idea why they picked him as the Bachelor. He obviously was trying to spice up (and complicate) his life picking her. Courtney was the only reason people watched, in my opinion. She's full of crap and everyone just wanted to see what rude and insane thing she was going to spit out next! I'm guilty of only watching for that reason! Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the girl. I'm pretty sure she's finally getting her 'just desserts' with all this negative publicity. Serves her right. You can't expect to have the whole world love you and cheer on your relationship when you act like brat. It's human nature to hate the wicked.

The After the Rose interview was just a bunch of crocodile tears and backpedaling. Too little, too late sister. And Ben babbled like an idiot trying to defend their relationship! Even he doesn't know what to do with himself now! {By the way, did anyone watch the audience in the background? They're eye rolls and head shakes said it all!} To be honest, as a compassionate human being...I did feel a little twinge of sadness for Courtney when they watched the proposal and she said that she only ever wanted one proposal and now it's tarnished forever with all the negativity associated with it. That sucks. There's no getting that moment or feeling back. BUT, you made your bed, dear Courtney, now you must lie in it. I truly hope they make it in the end. Mostly because I don't know anyone else in the world that would put up with either of them.

Ugh. End rant. That show gets me so riled up! :)

    {Great post, Bonnie!}

  6. I found this season to be one of the fakest ever. Is that even possible?

  7. I think she's fake.

She is a model after all, she has to act for some of her shoots.

I also couldn't help thinking that Ben looked like a lumberjack throughout the entire final episode.

I'm excited for Bachelor Pad and the newest Bachelorette Emily :)

  8. I still haven't' watched the finale but knew long ago from the spoilers that Courtney "won". I don't buy her apologies. I really would like to see what Ben thinks about all of the things she said though the first 12 episodes. I don't know if they talked about it in the after the final rose session, I'll have to watch.

  9. Genuine? Idunno.

But it definitely made for awesome television!

Think how boring it would have been if he had picked Lindzi!

  10. Maybe she's sincere in her apologies, but what I don't buy is "I didn't know how my actions would affect me in the future." Um, this is not the first season of the bachelor. I mean, you do know they TAPE everything you say, right? How could you not know people would be upset with you being a total brat?

I'm trying to figure out why I like watching the bachelor and I think it's just because its so cheesy, and I like to make fun of it. I mean, how many times can you really say it's the most dramatic rose ceremony in the history of the bachelor?

  11. I didn't buy her sob story, at all! She was so horrible to all the other girls during the entire season and when she got around Ben, she'd put on her "sweet face". Personally, I think Ben and Courtney deserve each other. I just don't see them lasting long-term.

  12. Courtney is so lame but Ben might even be more lame. He is so boring. I have no idea why all theses women were fighting for him. I think Courtney is sincere but only because everyone hates her. If none of the back-lashed happened she would stand by all her brattiness. It's obvious they won't stay together and Courtney definitely got her 15 minutes of fame that she wanted.

  13. I don't think Courtney was genuine in her apology. She seriously acted terrible the whole season, and was only nice one time. I think it is easier to act for one day, not 3 months. Does that make any sense? Anyway. I was so unimpressed with this season. Ben was not entertaining either.

  14. I think Courtney is genuinely upset by how people are treating how, but I don't think she's bothered by her own actions. If people weren't being so rude to her, she wouldn't be apologizing.

But I agree with what Emily said on the "Women Tell All." I wouldn't want a guy who would tell me to "tread lightly" when I said how I felt about someone else. And the fact that Ben abandoned her for a couple of weeks shows what kind of man he really is.

    They deserve each other.

But you knew he was going to pick her from the beginning. He is a dork and she is a model. Every computer nerds dream. Reality version of "Revenge of the Nerds."

  15. I totally got sucked into this season, leave it to the villain to do that. :)

  17. Two words: heinous bitch.

Oh wait (here comes the tears), I didn't mean it, I promise.

    (eye roll) Kidddingggg.
