The Life of Bon: Viva Las Vegas!

Viva Las Vegas!

Well girlies, (ahem... and men.  This blog does NOT discriminate against gender.  All are welcome around these parts!) I feel like I just met ya'll and now I'm flying the coop.

Please forgive me.

It's just that Monday is Hubs' and my first year anniversary.  My deepest love in this world (besides diet coke and trashy reality TV, of course) is vacations.  Any excuse to get out of town and forget the world is alright with me.  My next four days will be spent in good old Las Vegas.  Those high schoolers are going to have to fend for themselves, suckers!

I have been overwhelmed by the amount of love and friendship I have felt from readers of Erin's blog.  Looks like that girl really does know how to throw a party!  There are lSO MANY comments/ emails/ nice things that I am dying to reply to.  However, due to this little vay-kay, it will likely be Wednesday, or maybe even Thursday before I can reply to them all.  So be patient, my new friends, I promise I have read your sweet things, and you better believe I plan on hollering back!

Now, if you don't mind, I'm off to spend a little time in 72 degree weather...

And because I can't help but reminisce a little, this is what happened last time I went to Vegas, February of 2010.

I watched in sorrow as my friend Mandizzle tried her luck at the penny slots.  She lost many a penny, much to her chagrin.  (Apparently I was on an important phone call?)

I drove down my two month old Toyota Corolla, and like the geniuses we are, we tried to cram seven people in the car.  Not all people were small.  Somehow it worked.  (If you look close at this picture you can see me strangely grabbing my own hair.  I have no explanation.)

Already 23 and unmarried in the state of Utah, surely this is a travesty! I figured it was about time I just settled for what I could get.  I about dang near took up residence with the guy below.  Luckily, I was talked out of it, and Hubs came prancing into my life months later.  Dodged a bullet there, didn't I?!?

Mandizzle made a huge mistake.  I'm talking about the nachos.  Not the guy.

We watched some water dancing to music.  Cooler than it sounds my friends, cooler than it sounds!  (Notice Mandy and Nacho boy getting their flirt on in the background.)

When I told Nacho boy that I had never gambled before, he threw me $100 to spend on the blackjacks table.   All my friends are just rolling in $100 bills, you understand, don't you?
I lost it all within five minutes.  I never saw that guy again.

And lastly, I got made of for drinking water and eating butterscotch pudding when everyone else was drinking up a storm.  Hey, if you don't want to drink you don't want to drink, and you've got to stick to your guns, you know?!?

What does this year's trip to Vegas hold in store?  Tune in Wednesday (wow, can't believe I just said tune in.  I am aware I am not a radio station, that was just weird) to get all the juicy details!

  6. Hubs and I went to Vegas before he was hubs. He claimed there is nothing else to do but gamble...we haven't been back since, although he does go with his buds every year! (he leaves on Weds!)
